On June 16, 2007, the Ars celebrated 60 years since the first session of the Sicilian Parliament. An event that was attended in the front row in the parterre by Head of State Giorgio Napolitano.

Kataklò and Giulia Staccioli were called upon by director Davide Rampello to choreograph and make unforgettable the opening of the gate of the Norman Palace that had remained closed 167 years.

At 9 p.m. the show “Lights and Shadows” kicked off, during which the Company performed on the exterior facade of the Palace narrating 60 years of Sicily’s history from the postwar period to the present day; the extraordinary performance reached its climax with the opening of the monumental gateway.
