“Beyond Seasons”.

While waiting for the new production that will celebrate the company's 30th anniversary in 2026, Giulia Staccioli gives a taste of her inexhaustible mastery with Seasons - Beyond Seasons.

Seasons was created in 2024 at the request of maestros Gianna Fratta and Dino De Palma, debuting at the Teatro Antico in Taormina and the Teatro Greco in Syracuse with live orchestra.

The beating heart of the opera is its innovative vision.

The ability to combine tradition and modernity finds expression in Vivaldi's celebrated violin concertos, rearranged by contemporary composer Max Richter.

Richter's harmonies, which blend classical and modern sounds, are interwoven with the evocative sounds of nature to create a unique atmosphere.

On this sound canvas, a visual narrative is painted that enhances the expressive power of the six Kataklò dancers.

Guided by the choreographer, the dancers' bodies are transformed into symbols of nature: golden harvests, dancing leaves, intertwining branches. Each movement recounts the deep connection between human beings and the environment, a theme that is explored with a unique and profound sensitivity.

His vision also extends to the essential yet evocative set design and the careful choice of lights and colors, which immerse the viewer in an ever-changing landscape. Every detail reflects the desire to create a work that transcends time and space.

"Seasons - Beyond Seasons is an exploration of the cycles of life, an ode to the beauty of nature and the complexity of being human,” says Staccioli, describing a work that not only entertains but invites us to reflect on our connection to the natural world and to ourselves.
