“If all it takes is a scent to go back to breathing, all it takes is for us to go back to dancing.”
Back to Dance celebrates the desire to dance as a hymn to life and sociality.
Giulia Staccioli, together with the active artistic contribution of the six dancers on stage, signs a show that juxtaposes unreleased and repertory fragments, standard-bearers of a message of hope: let's dance!
The idea of return becomes a common thread for all artistic choices, and so the costumes, repurposed and revamped from old productions, pursue the same ideal of recovery.
Back to Dance takes place in a single time that addresses four different stages: humanity, mythology, heroism and lightness.
It tells of that shared human urge to begin again, to continue living despite dark and suffocating experiences; even when all certainties collapse, man knows how to rebuild and rise again.
Conquest is a renewed lightness.
