The irony of innovative choreography, not easily classified.
Play is a show in pictures that tells the world of sports from an innovative perspective. On the unprecedented notes of the soundtrack composed by Ajad, evocative postcards are brought to life that capture the most intrinsic aspects of each discipline. With energy, elegance and a good dose of irony, Play removes the competitive aspect of sports, transforming it definitively into art.
Play was staged in 2008 to represent Italy at the Beijing Cultural Olympiad at the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of Culture and under the high patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian Embassy, Play is a show capable of regenerating itself and keeping itself always current. In 2022 it was staged at the Royal Opera House in Muscat, where it won over the cosmopolitan audiences of the Omani capital.
Play is a remounting of "Indiscipline" from the company's 1996 debut show, originally created with Ilaria Cavagna, Mauro Maurizio Colucci, Paola Corio Kahler, Maura Muzio, Daniela Vergani, Stefano Cogliati, Andrea Zannoni, Giulia Staccioli.
